Those of you who are movie fans …

I just read on Yahoo today that there is a new movie rental service using a Kiosk called Redbox that lets you rent a movie DVD for just $1 per night. You can find a redbox Kiosk in select MacDonald, Stop&Shop, Wallgreens, Wal-Mart and such retail stores. You can return the DVD to any Redbox Kiosk. Is not it amazing! They have all the latest DVD releases. You can go to Redbox’s web site and try for yourself. I am thinking of trying it myself as well …

Some Movie Reviews

23 12 2008

Today I came to work after three days; I have three days weekend in December (taking every Monday off in December from my vacation as I did not use up all of my vacations allocated for the year and they will expire by end of the year). Anyway, last Friday we had holiday party in the evening at work; so on Friday starting from the lunch break, we all the girls at work were spending time in getting ready, putting makeups, dressup, and hairup for the party πŸ˜€ ; the party was a lot of fun as the people at my work are very nice and friendly.

So, today at work, I got a lot of things piled up; and I am finishing them up one by one, and now taking a break and writing here πŸ˜›

Besides the work party on last Friday, I watched two movies during the weekend. I watched the movie called Bolt in Disney 3-D on Sunday evening in a theater near my home in Astoria with a work friend. The movie was great! I enjoyed every single bit of the movie; it was funny, emotional, and touchy. Also watching it with a close friend added extra charm to it πŸ™‚

I also watched Slum dog Millionaire on Saturday afternoon. The movie was not that great although some of my friends said it was good and funny. It was little bit of like Hindi (Indian) movies style, and I do not like Hindi movies. I personally also do not like any violence and the movie had a lot of violence in it that were very disturbing to me.

I also watched Twilight a few days ago on a lazy Friday when I did not have anything to do after work; so just watched it in the theater near my home; I liked that movie too but not as much as Bolt.

I would recommend Bolt to anyone who wants to have some nice relaxed time to watch a funny and emotional cartoon film.

SATC

3 06 2008

Yesterday me and my friend went to watch the movie SATC in Regal cinemas on 42nd street. We bought the tickets on last Thursday (4 days ago). When we went to the theater, we saw on display that the tickets were sold out; we put a smile on our face knowing that we were lucky to have the tickets to see the movie. Some of my friends were also going to watch it in another theater but when they went to that theater, the tickets were all sold out in there too.

Anyway, we met at the spring street station, and we went to midtown and had dinner first; then went to watch the movie; when we went inside the theater, we saw that the movie had already started, and the theater was full; then we checked our tickets carefully and found that the movie started from 7:40, and we thought it was going to start from 8:10.

But anyway, my friend then pulled me out of the theater, and we saw a big line and asked someone in that line what line this was for. She told us it was for SATC, which starts from 8:20. We were like, let’s get in that line, and we did. The theater was on 2 flights up but the line started from there itself. We found good sits when we got in; the movie was simply wonderful. I used to watch the serial, so I bought the tickets at my earliest convenient, could not wait to watch it. The life of those four women in the movie seems so real. The movie ended at 11. I am so glad that I was able to watch it; I am planning to watch it again for the second time in a few weeks.
